Closed Loop Welding Control

In-process keyhole depth measurement is used to adjust the laser power in real-time during the welding process and hit a specified depth target on every weld.

The feedback signal is based on a direct measurement of the weld depth, and is immune to interference from the process beam and plasma. Tuning options are included to allow application engineers to reject noise and account for process dynamics, ensuring reliable, repeatable depth control.
